Find the Perfect Lens for You

Contact lenses are a great alternative to glasses, but finding the right type requires informative guidance. During your fitting, we’ll assess your eye shape, tear production and lifestyle needs to ensure your lenses fit comfortably and provide clear, stable vision. If you have unique needs—such as astigmatism or require multifocal correction—we offer specialised lenses that address these conditions. For those with dry eyes or sensitive eyes, we recommend lenses designed with enhanced breathability and moisture retention.

Regular follow-ups are essential to monitor your eye health and ensure the lenses remain comfortable over time. We'll adjust your lenses if you notice discomfort or vision changes. We also offer tips and products for proper care, helping prevent complications like dryness, irritation or infections. Contact lenses are not one-size-fits-all, which is why our personalised fittings provide you with the best option for your unique needs.

FAQ's

  • Can I use eye drops with my contact lenses?

Not all eye drops are safe for use with contact lenses, as certain ingredients can damage the lenses or irritate your eyes. Some drops may contain preservatives or oils that can cloud your lenses or reduce their effectiveness. We can recommend contact-lens-friendly drops specifically designed to maintain moisture without compromising lens quality.

If you experience dry eyes, redness or irritation while wearing lenses, it's important to use drops that are compatible with your lens type, whether you wear daily, bi-weekly or extended-wear contacts. Using unsuitable drops can lead to discomfort or even infections, so it’s best to consult with us before selecting any products.

  • How long each day can I wear my daily disposable contact lenses?

Thanks to advances in contact lens technology, many modern lenses allow more oxygen to pass through to the cornea, reducing the risk of dryness and discomfort. However, even with these innovations, giving your eyes a break is important to maintain their health.

Wearing daily disposable lenses for 10 to 16 hours per day is generally recommended, but individual tolerance varies. Extended wear beyond this range can lead to dryness, redness or irritation, as your eyes need periods without lenses to receive proper oxygenation. If you notice discomfort or strain, it may be time to remove your lenses earlier. Stick to your recommended wearing schedule and dispose of the lenses daily to reduce the risk of eye infections or irritation.

  • When is my child old enough to wear contact lenses?

There isn’t a specific age when children become ready for contact lenses, as it depends more on their maturity and responsibility than their age. While a child’s eyes can physically tolerate lenses at a young age, the key factor is whether they can reliably handle the responsibilities of proper lens care. This includes inserting and removing the lenses safely, cleaning and storing them correctly (for non-daily disposables) and following the wearing schedule to avoid overuse or infections.

Children who participate in sports or activities often benefit from the freedom that contact lenses provide, as they eliminate the need for glasses that could slip, fog up or get damaged. However, parents and optometrists must assess whether the child can manage their lenses independently. If the child struggles to keep track of daily routines, such as brushing their teeth or doing homework, they may not be ready for the responsibility contact lenses require.

Daily disposable lenses can be a great option for younger wearers since they don’t require cleaning or storage, reducing the risk of improper care. If you’re unsure whether your child is ready, we can help assess their readiness and offer trial lenses to see how they adjust to wearing and caring for them. Regular follow-ups are essential to ensure their eyes remain healthy and comfortable while using lenses.
