Michael studied Optometry at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane and has developed considerable experience in the Optometric field, a point that is comforting for many of our regular patients. Michael has been serving the local community for over 30 years and in that time has provided services to outlying and remote areas such as Weipa, Arukun, Mossman, Cooktown, Gordonvale, Babinda and Yarrabah.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">Michael offers a personalised and thorough eye examination. He runs his practice with the utmost care for all his patients with each patient receiving the &quot;whole package&quot;, with the focus on eyes, eye health and aftercare.</p>

Primarily now she is behind the scenes with business administration, however she can always be seen as the friendly and familiar face that patients have come to know and love.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">With such a wealth of knowledge of the industry and her patients, she has a strong dedication to customer service and satisfaction.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">Karen&#x27;s first interest in eyewear began when she managed a retail sunglass store for 6 years. She then moved into the area of optical where she worked as a travelling optical rep covering North and Central QLD, before taking up a position with Michael Chu Optometrist in January 2012.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">Karen has a keen eye for fashion and a genuine passion for dealing with people. She takes great pride in her work ensuring each patient is fitted with what suits their individual needs.</p>

In this time she has successfully completed her Optical Dispensing course and has worked as a qualified Optical Dispenser since 2010. Having always worked for independent optometrists, Melissa offers more personalised attention. Her expertise in frame and lens options and her warm and friendly approach meet the needs of each individual.</p>
